Nick Petosa
A young up-and-comer in the fishing industry, guide Nick Petosa is an aggressive and eager steelhead and salmon guide who spends most of his time in Northwest Washington. Owner of Petosa’s Guide Service, he begins his summers chasing kings on the Skagit River, prior to heading north to Alaska where he commercial fishes for sockeye out of Bristol Bay.
Considered an expert on the Skagit, Petosa returns to his home river in the fall to battle Coho and extends his trips there into November on through January where he focuses on winter steelhead. At times, in late January and during February, Petosa migrates to the Olympic Peninsula and casts towards steelhead on the Sol Duc, Bogachiel and Hoh. When it’s open, Petosa spends March and April on the Skagit, for epic catch and release steelhead fishing.
While still a young guide, Petosa seems like a veteran when it comes to giving seminars. He’s presented at Cabelas in Lacey and is a regular at Yeagers, Puget Sound Anglers, Wholesale Sports, JT Buck and other northern Washington locations. Nick Petosa is a co-host on Northwest Wild Country radio and has been featured in the now de-funk Fishing & Hunting News.
