From January 15th until April 15th we will start to see the trophy class fish that enter the Skagit, Hoh, Sol Duc and Bogachiel river. These fish average 8-12 pounds with many caught into the twenty pound mark every year. And that’s not to mention that there is always the talk of the thirty pound Steelhead that got away. These fish are aggressive and will put any Steelheader to the test. Native Steelhead fight hard and offer great sport and challenge for all anglers and skill levels. During Native Steelhead season we utilize such techniques as Side-Drifting, Float fishing, Bobber-dogging, Plug-pulling and Fly fishing, if you fly fish.
